What is Cover Factor?
Cover factor is a scientific measurement of the percentage area of the fabric covered by the yarns and fiber. In other words, the test establishes cover factor by recording a specific amount of light that passes through the gaps in the fabric.
Numerical Example:
A cotton fabric is made from 22Ne warp and ends per inch is 60. Determine the warp cover factor.
Solution:
Two consecutive ends are shown in the above Figure.
